Dynamics CRM and SharePoint Integration – Folder path not configured

What could possibly go wrong with that?
1. CRM-SharePoint integration was already running smoothly on bot OOB and custom entities.
2. the crmadmin user I was controlling was System Administrator on CRM and had full privileges on SharePoint
3. document management was enabled on the new custom entity
I Googled hoping someone else faced this problem before but I had no luck in finding anything useful.
Late afternoon and time running out, I had to found a workaround.
Hence I went on creating the folder right on SharePoint site and see if this could solve the issue.

The new folder name had to match the custom entity’s name.
6
After creation I renamed the folder to something more user friendly.

Once everything was set up on SharePoint I went back to CRM side. Took my old test record, crossed my fingers, went to Documents and faced again the prompt.

I pressed Confirm and…error disappeared.

To complete the test I tried to upload a file an it worked as well too.

Conclusions

The step above are a workaround but will help you get the result.

I’ll further investigate the issue in order to try to understand the cause and I will update the post in case I got somewhere with it. Meanwhile if you have any suggestion or consideration please share it here.
